Software built for signage businesses.
A sign is not a standard catalog item. Every job has its own dimensions, material, thickness, finishing, files, destination and sometimes an installation on site.
PrintBlocks lets you run each project exactly as it is, from the first enquiry and the quote through production, delivery and installation.
Custom jobs without inventing a product
Not every sign needs to exist in the catalog first.
A line can be free text with its own description, quantity and price, so a one-off panel can be quoted without a permanent product being created for it.
Priced the way you price it
A signage price comes off your own calculation, by the square metre, the linear metre, the sheet or the job. The line takes the number that calculation produced rather than a per-unit catalog price forced onto work that is not a catalog item.
Cutting, lamination, mounting and installation are charged alongside it as their own priced items, and quantity breaks apply where the work repeats.
The whole specification, on the order
Add the fields your shop asks on every job: width and height, substrate, thickness, print method, lamination and finishing, cut and shape, installation instructions, site contact, required date.
They are real fields rather than a note at the bottom, so the list can be searched, filtered and sorted on them.
Whoever ordered it is not who is standing there
A customer holds as many addresses as they have sites, each labelled, and the order carries the one it is actually going to.
It also carries its own recipient, set separately from the person who placed the order, so the delivery goes to the site foreman and the invoice goes to the office.
Files and proofs stay on the job
Print files, proofs, reference photos and production notes sit on the order and the production job they belong to.
Nobody is searching email or WhatsApp for the latest version, because the job is holding the approved one.
Approved before the material is cut
Send the customer a link to their own page showing the order, the dimensions, the materials, the price and the proofs.
They approve it there, and the approval is on the record with the date it happened, which is what you want in hand before anything is cut.
Split the project into its real stages
A signage job can be printing, cutting, laminating, assembly, quality control and installation.
Each becomes its own production job with its own files, assignee, department, status and date, tracked separately without losing the project it belongs to.
A workflow shaped like your operation
Name the stages you really have: awaiting survey, quoting, artwork, awaiting approval, printing, cutting, assembly, ready for installation, completed.
Signs, decals, lettering and installation projects can each follow their own route, with their own rules and automations.
Schedule production, delivery and installation
Put dates on the stages, see the work laid out across the week by the day it is meant to print, and drag a job to another day when the site is not ready.
Sales, production and the installers all read the same date, so a survey that slips does not have to be told to three people.
Materials as stock, jobs as jobs
Track the sheets, rolls and standard products you actually hold, with stock per variant, while the one-off panels stay free-text lines. Nothing forces a job to be made of catalog items for the rest of the system to work.
Every enquiry and project in one place
Quotes, orders, contacts, files, comments, statuses and dates all sit together on the project.
Save a different view for sales, for artwork, for production and for the installers, so each of them opens the work that is theirs.
Questions shops ask
Can we create a job that is not in our catalog?
Yes. A line can be free text with its own description, quantity and price, and nothing has to be created as a product first.
Can we price by square metre?
Yes, by entering the line at the price your calculation produced. PrintBlocks does not compute the area for you, and it does not force a per-unit catalog price onto a line that is not a catalog item, which is what lets a square-metre price sit on the order as the real number.
Can we add fields that match our jobs?
Yes. Substrate, thickness, lamination, cut type, site contact, installation instructions: whatever you ask on every job becomes a real field you can filter the list by.
Can we keep the installation address separate from the billing one?
Yes. A customer holds as many labelled addresses as they need, the order carries the one it is going to, and the person receiving it is set separately from the person who ordered it.
Can customers approve proofs online?
Yes. They open a link, see the order and the proofs, and approve. The approval is recorded with its date before production starts.
Can one project include several production stages?
Yes. Printing, cutting, finishing, assembly and installation can each be their own job, with their own status, dates and the person or department responsible.
Can different types of signage follow different workflows?
Yes. Statuses, rules and automations can differ by the kind of work, and a rule can be narrowed by the department it belongs to or where the order came from.
Do we still get stock tracking?
For the materials you do hold as products, yes, down to the variant. Custom and one-off work sits alongside it without needing stock behind it.
Can we assign an installer to a job?
Yes. Team members are assigned to orders and to individual jobs, with dates on each and notifications when things move.
Manage every signage job from the measurement to the installation.
The specification, the price, the files, the approval, production and installation, all connected to one project.
